~COOPERATIVE MASTERS DEGREE PROGRAM IN THE US~

The Cooperative Masters Degree program is a study program requiring and based on a student visa; it is not a work program requiring or based on a work visa.
The main goal of this co-op program, set up in direct compliance with US Federal Law, is for students to obtain real work experience during their education process that will reflect well upon their resumes when they enter the work force after obtaining their Masters degree.
This program enables selected and qualified university graduates with good grades to gain admission for further study in the United States through a cooperative education program that offers a full time work and study option. Participants are able to pursue their Masters Degree full time while working in paid positions at the same time and gaining relevant work experience in the related field of study.
The program also provides them with the opportunity to work alongside their American peers, make new friends and travel to other parts of United States for learning purposes.
The program has 2 components;

- Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is the legal description for the paid internship employment that students engage in while in a co-op program. The purpose of CPT is to give students practical experience in the workplace to augment what they are learning in the classroom.

- Optional Practical Training (OPT) is the legal description for the one year employment that students are allowed to engage in after they graduate from their Master's program. The purpose of OPT is to give student further practical experience in the workplace relating to the Master's major.
Participants in the program may not be able to participate in the OPT aspect if they have had more than 1 year on the CPT aspect of the program even though they may do the CPT through the duration of their study.
HTIR guarantees at least an initial "entry-level" employment position which, if retained by candidate, will pay an average of $35,000 over the first 28 months, with the right of the candidate at any time to seek and move to a higher paying job if he/she chooses to do so. (Candidates with very low English ability or skills may earn only $25,000 while candidates with high English ability and/or skill sets may earn up to $50,000 or more, but the guarantee HTIR makes herein is that co-op students will be given the legal right to full time employment to be paid wages at a level according to their skills).
